Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Bossley Park. Emergency services were called to Stromlo Street just before midnight (Saturday 23 August 2014), where they found a house well alight. The fire was extinguished; however, the home sustained damage to the front. A woman, aged in her 60s, was removed from the home by police and taken to Liverpool Hospital suffering smoke inhalation. Two police officers were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command are investigating the fire, which is being treated as suspicious. Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or suspicious behaviour in the area.
