Police are investigating after a robbery of a delivery driver in Oatley last night. About 7.15pm (Thursday 17 July 2014), a delivery man, aged 71, attended a house on Yarran Road, to deliver pizzas. As he walked up the driveway of the location, he approached two men and spoke to them. One of the men then grabbed at the pizza bag, the driver did not let go and the man head butted him, forcing the driver to fall backwards onto the road. The two men then ran towards Mimosa Street with the pizzas. Police were contacted and St George Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation. The driver received a cut to his head, but did not attend hospital. One of the men was described as Caucasian appearance, aged in his early 20’s, solid build, 168cm tall, wearing a red jacket and white/khaki shorts. The second man was described as Caucasian appearance, aged in his early 20’s, 168cm tall, wearing a yellow jumper and shorts. Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information about the incident to make contact with the authorities.
