A woman reported someone broke the window to her vehicle. 11:04 a.m. Monday, TJ Maxx, 4212 S. Western Ave., theft of $195 worth of items from store by employee. No arrests were made, and the case is under investigation. 1:17 p.m. Monday, 600 block of South Grove Street, Derek Freshwater, 26, last known address 320 W. 26th St., arrested on warrants, probation violation and two attachments. He was being held Tuesday at the Grant County Jail on $1,500 bond. 1:55 p.m. Monday, TJ Maxx, 4212 S. Western Ave., Shea Mika Dunica, 22, last known address 3440 E. 200N, arrested, theft of $2,160 worth of items from store. Dunica was an employee at the store. 2:38 p.m. Monday, 4200 block of South Thompson Drive, theft of ratchet set from unlocked vehicle. 2:49 p.m. Monday, 1400 block of West Third Street, investigation. A mo-ped stolen from Anderson was recovered. 3:26 p.m. Monday, 300 block of South Branson Street, report of theft of license plate and medications from vehicle. The theft occurred over the weekend. 3:48 p.m. Monday, Kohl’s, 4114 S. Western Ave., two 17-year-old juveniles arrested, theft. 4:07 p.m. Monday, Marion Pediatrics, 1411 W. Bella Drive, dog bite. A woman brought in her 9-year-old son who had been bitten by a dog at 8 Webb Drive. The boy had a small abrasion on his abdomen. The case was forwarded to Marion Animal Care and Control. The dog’s immunizations were current. 4:09 p.m. Monday, Wal-Mart, 3240 S. Western Ave., 16-year-old girl arrested, theft. 5:20 p.m. Monday, 700 block of East Grant Street, fraud. A woman allegedly used her juvenile children’s information for open cable and Internet service accounts with Bright House. 6:24 p.m. Monday, Wal-Mart, 3240 S. Western Ave., Juan Rodriguez, 24, last known address 1718 S. Branson St., arrested, conspiracy to commit theft; John Stoess, 28, last known address unknown, arrested, theft; and Meghan Stoess, 29, last known address 315 W. Sixth St., arrested, conspiracy to commit theft. The group stole televisions from the store on two separate occasions on Monday. Meghan and Rodriguez were being held Tuesday at the Grant County Jail on $605 bond, and John was being held in the jail without bond. 9:02 p.m. Monday, 2400 block of West Second Street, theft of vehicle. Grant County Sheriff’s Department 6:32 a.m. Monday, 900 block of West 52nd Street, burglary of garage and theft of Harley Davidson and other items. 10:54 a.m. Monday, 900 block of West 51st Street, theft of purse from vehicle. 11:49 p.m. Monday, 5900 block of East Grant County Road 4081 North, Van Buren, threats of harm. A man reportedly threatened to throw a meth lab at his girlfriend’s residence. Grant County Jail Count Total: 207 (Capacity 274) Male: 187 Female: 20 As of 2:06 p.m. Tuesday. Juvenile Detention Center Count Total: 13 (Capacity 46) Male: 8 Female: 5 As of 5:21 p.m. Tuesday. All arrest entries reflect preliminary police charges.
