Police busted a major Hawala module, 02 arrested Rajouri 19 June 2013 In a major setback to the efforts of reviving subversive activities in Rajouri-Poonch area, Police unearthed a major Hawala Module involved in distribution of terrorist funds for various terrorists and separatist activities. On 17-06-2013, one Mohd Farooq Khan @ Farooq Dullia S/o Mohd Latief Khan R/o Potha, Surankote was apprehended by Rajouri Police with terrorist money of Rs. 95,000/- at Manyal Gali, Thanamandi. During investigation of Case FIR No. 95/2013 U/S 11/13, 17/20, 40 Unlawful activities (Prevention) Act registered to dig out the complete linkages of these subversive activities, it has been found that Farooq Dullia, a released militant is President of Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) for District Poonch which is patronized from Pakistan and headed by one G.A. Mir R/o Thanamandi in J&K. Farooq Khan is one of the oldest militant from District Poonch who crossed over to Pakistan for arms training in 1990 and was arrested alongwith Pistol & Grenades and remained in Jail for more than 2 years. In 2001, he joined Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement, a constituent of All Party Hurriyat Conference. For the last 6 months, he has been working as an active conduit in transporting and distributing terrorist money through Hawala transaction received from Saudi Arabia and further handing it over to Vice Chairman of JKPM Qasir Sajad Mir S/o G.A. Mir for its further distribution to Hurriyat leaders. It has been found that an amount of more than Rs. 11 lac has been received by Farooq Khan from Saudi Arabia through various banks. A detailed questioning of both Farooq Khan and Qasir Sajad Mir may reveal further details resulting into more arrests and recoveries in coming days.
