Police foil Bandipora chalo Bandipora: Authorities on Wednesdayimposed strict restrictions in Bandipora, Sumbal, Hajin and Naidkhai, towns in north Kashmir to foil the “Markundal and Kondebal Challo march the call forwhich was given by Hurriyat Conference (G). Geelani had asked people from Bandipora and Ganderbal districts to reach Kondebal and Markundal, to attend the condolence and prayer rallies of Irfan Ganai and Tariq Leherwal, who were killed by army onSunday. Hundreds of police and CRPF men were deployed in the towns and people were not allowed to come out of their homes. “In Srinagar and elsewhere in Kashmir, the situation is normal and people are busy in their daily matters,” a police spokesman said.
