Police have commenced inquiries after a man presented at Westmead Hospital with a gunshot wound overnight. The 20-year-old attended the hospital about 12.45am (Sunday 14 December 2014) with a wound to his left leg. Officers from Parramatta Local Area Command were alerted and attended the hospital. It’s believed the man was driven to the hospital; however, the car left the scene prior to him seeking medical attention. He is currently being treated for non life-threatening injuries. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway and police are attempting to establish where it took place.
