Police have issued a warning about bogus callers following a distraction burglary in Craigavon. A man claiming to be from NI Water called at a house in Garrymore on Tuesday, August 26 at around 1.30pm. The man appeared to be plausible saying water in the area had been contaminated. He came into the house and poured a glass of water. He said he would turn the stopcock off for five minutes. He asked the resident if they lived alone and was told of another resident upstairs. The man suggested that they be brought down. This was declined and the man left the house saying the water was fine. It was later determined the second resident saw a man upstairs during this time and some bags/suitcases were disturbed. Nothing was taken #localicraigavon
