Police in County Londonderry are appealing for information following the theft of a van in Great James Street, Derry. PSNI Inspector Craig of Foyle policing area said: A white Ford Transit van was taken from outside a barber’s shop around 2pm on Tuesday August 12 by a man described as six feet tall with black hair, wearing a grey hooded top. The van left the area but was then seen again at 540pm parked in the Cairnhill area of the city. One of its windows had been smashed. It was seized by police for forensic examination. Anyone who was in the area of Great James Street on August 12 and saw the van being taken, or was in the Cairnhill area later that afternoon when it was abandoned is asked to contact PSNI in Foyle on the non-emergency number 101, or if you would like to pass information without giving your details you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0845 600 8000.
