Police in Livingston are issuing a further appeal for witnesses after a woman was indecently assaulted in her Eliburn home in the early hours of Wednesday 7 May. The incident took place around 3.30am when the 27-year-old victim was woken in the night to find the suspect within her home. The suspect then indecently assaulted her. The suspect thereafter left the property and the victim immediately alerted police. Police are appealing to anyone who was near Orchard Place between 2.45am and 4am on Wednesday 7 May, to contact them immediately. Police are also keen to trace an unidentified male who was seen in the area around the time of the assault. He is described as white, 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in in height, short dark hair, pointed features and wearing a grey coloured hoodie. Detective Superintendent Pat Campbell from Police Scotland said: Weve had a good response to our enquiries so far, and we are keen to trace this unidentified male, so we can eliminate him from our enquiries. While police would advise women to take extra care when walking late at night, Id like to reassure the public that we are fully committed to tracing the pepretrator. Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, or make an anonymous report through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
