Police in Salford know that there are many people in our community who are concerned by the increased police presence, in an effort to locate Michael Cope. A number of concerns have been made using the social media network site face book. This male is currently wanted by the police in connection with the horrific murder of mother of two Linzi Ashton. Increased police patrolling is present, to respond to possible sightings of Cope that the public have provided and to offer reassurance. Police officers will be available at The Village Hall, Vicars Hall Lane, Worsley, between 7pm -9pm, Thursday 11th July in order to provide the community with an update. It is also useful to note that you can stop and speak to any of the officers you see in order to receive details on the police response to locate Cope. The latest update is that to date we have not found but him he remains our number 1 priority for Salford. The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of COPE is £25,000. However Cope is a dangerous individual and should not be approached by the public. Instead please contact Greater Manchester Police on 999 if an emergency. In the case of a non emergency you can contact the incident room number on 0161 856 5092 or the independent Crime stoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111
