Police investigating deadly motorcycle crash By Cindy Harb. CREATED 8:14 AM Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police were on scene of a deadly motorcycle crash. It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday near East Pebble Road and South Haviland Road. Evidence at the scene and a witness indicated a 2013 Honda CBR motorcycle was traveling east on E. Pebble Road at a high rate of speed when the operator lost control. The motorcycle overturned in the intersection and slid off the roadway over the southeast corner of the intersection. The motorcycle and operator continued southeast across the sidewalk / landscape before striking a tree and a block wall. The impact with the tree and wall redirected the motorcycle and operator to the eastbound travel lanes on E. Pebble Road where the motorcycle and operator slid to a stop. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on scene by responding rescue personnel. This was the 68th traffic related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Departments jurisdiction for the year 2014. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Accident Investigation. This was my son Brandons first cousin on his mother Brennas side of the family.
