Police investigating the reported assault of a man in a pub in Hatfield this weekend are appealing for witnesses to come forward. At around 10.30pm on Saturday 24 January, it is reported that there was an altercation between a number of people in the Ingram Arms pub, High Street, Hatfield. It is alleged that a 51-year-old man attempted to intervene and was reportedly assaulted by a group of men. He was taken to hospital to be treated for a serious head injury. Two men, aged 29 and 22-years-old, and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries.
