Police recovered an Ak-47 rifile and over 50 rounds of 5 point five six ammunition and uniforms from the home of a 32 year old contractor. North Eastern Division officers searched the home in Granaso Street, in Morvant on Wednesday and found the arms and several police tactical uniforms and defense force uniforms. Police say the rifle is capable of firing over 600 rounds of ammunition per minute, and can easily penetrate the bullet proof vests worn by police officers and defence force personnel.
