Police report that a man who fell off a walkway while on his way to the San Francisco 49ers game at Candlestick Park has died. Officer Gordon Shyy says that at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the man in his 30s was walking with his brother on the Jamestown pedestrian walkway when he fell onto the sidewalk and suffered serious injuries. Multiple witnesses told police that the man appeared to be intoxicated at the time of his fall. The victim died of his injuries. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
