Police responded to an Elm Street address for a check on the welfare call. Police found a male with a machete and female highly intoxicated within the residence. The children had fled the house when the male and female were fighting inside the house. Police arrested the female for endangering the welfare of children, assault, harassment. She is currently at McKean County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bond. The male was charged with endangering the welfare of children for swinging the machete close to the children. He is currently in McKean County Jail on $20,000 bond. CYS was contacted and assisted with the children. A 23 month old was transported to Childrens Hospital in Buffalo for evaluation. The investigation is on going.
