Police said the fire on the 8th floor broke out shortly after a dispute between two men. A 58-year-old man, believed to be involved in the dispute, was found dead by the Singapore Civil Defence Force. The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it received a call for help at 5:20pm. Its officers had to break into a flat and found the man motionless near the toilet. He was pronounced dead at 5.59pm. SCDF said the fire had broken out in the living room of the flat. By 9.45pm, officers had sealed off the third floor of the block of flats and had placed markers where there were traces of blood. Police said investigations are ongoing.
