Policy Analyst/Associate, Policy Job Description We are currently seeking a part-time Policy Analyst or Associate, depending on experience, to assist our Director of Policy. The Analyst or Associate will contribute to several key aspects of the Policy Team’s work by assisting in interpreting HCZ’s theory and practice in policy materials; researching legal and legislative issues; liaising with government; organizing meetings and webinars; and managing other projects as they arise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Research legislative, political, and policy issues Draft materials Research and write talking points for CEO and President’s policy speaking engagements Organize site visits Advocate with congressional offices Track and manage trademark issues Develop presentations Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements Bachelor’s degree and a policy-related graduate degree or at least 2 years experience in policy, particularly in education, health and child welfare fields, is preferred Excellent attention to detail and the initiative to solve anticipate and solve problems Experience in advocacy or government a plus Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills Superior written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Commitment to and passion for HCZ’s mission and work To be considered, interested applicants must submit a cover letter and resume.
