Political mischief is what the NY Times calls PNoy, and I could - TopicsExpress

Political mischief is what the NY Times calls PNoy, and I could not agree more with Mr Magnos own views of PNoy as a mischief as he writes in his Star column today: “Mischief” is such an apt word. It calls up images of infantile misdemeanor, of immature politicking and of inane pronouncement. These are correct characterizations of the strange behavior of Aquino and his LP henchmen the past few weeks Enough has been said of this mans childish ways in his work ethics; his braggadocio; his unwillingness to consider his detractors opinion of his way of governance; of the many misdemeanors he has committed so far; his monarchical and dictator tendencies; and many more. His role in the DAP and PDAF controversies will go down as his legacy if he does not mend his ways now that there is still time. But the many, many problems he will tackle these coming months like the never ending MRT saga; the port congestion (he says this is a sign of economic progress just like he says that heavy traffic, is too, a sign of economic progress); the upcoming power and water shortages; the airport problems; cha cha and more will test his mettle as a leader. Is this story true? That in one cabinet meeting he expressed desire to resign as president because the problems are just too much to carry and his popularity is sagging? It is said further that he left the room and his loyal aids went out after him to console him. But I still hope there will be better days ahead of this embattled presidency. Hope springs eternal, and I hope God hears our cries of mercy.
