Political power has never been peacefully handed over after an election in Cambodia. I know that the costs of giving up power are higher for CPP politicians than is the case in most countries. That is why I am willing to allow immunity from prosecution for past offenses, as well as the creation of pension plans for CPP politicians who peacefully accept a democratic verdict to remove them from power. ~ Sam Rainsy in his newest book.
