Polls Open Peacefully in Zambia Voting for Zambia’s Sixth President is underway with an average voting population making their trips to various polling stations in the country. There has been no incident since the polling stations opened at 06:00 hours this morning. In Kitwe, over 1,500 people have voted at 10 polling stations. The polling stations surveyed include Chipatala, Kitwe Boys, Dagama and Helen Kaunda. Polling stations in Luanshya had voters forming queues as early as 5 while the weather was not as friendly in Chingola although a fair turn out was recorded at Sambilila polling station in Kasala ward. In Lusaka, Jacaranda Basic School had the voting process peacefully underway with UNZA polling station also recording a peaceful and good turn out.
