Polonia 2 - 1 Marayong Much like Doonside last week, a loss to Marayong away early in the season was a game we could/ should have won. Much like Doonside last week, today we redeemed ourselves and picked up back to back wins in the process! In a tense first half of few chances, a first touch screamer from Stefano from a tight angle inside the box put us in front. Not a bad way to open your account for the season/ club. The away team pulled one back early in the second half against the run of play, but Ben hit what ended up being the winner with a low shot from the edge of the box that cannoned in off the near post. Marayong had a similar chance late on that Cooke managed to parry away, getting down low to make sure we took a deserved victory. Special thanks to Alex who refereed (and did a good job) whilst injured. We wouldnt have had a game without him.
