Ponder This: I am just curious to know is WHY is it okay for preachers with MEGA size churches to become rich and famous. They sell books, CDs , DVDs and have become very rich in the process. That aside for a moment. We know money is not a sin, but the love of it. Their congregation is poor and fighting bill collectors, on the brink of losing their homes or car or whatever. We keep tithing and the preacher keeps getting richer. are they in essence selling GODsword God is giving them the word free of charge. They sell it to the people and make a lot of money. If they would give all the proceeds to the people of need in their congregation then they (preachers) could say to god I gave as I recieve. If you are worth 10 millions dollars from the proceeds of the word of god and you donate one million to some sort of charity. Would you fall in the category of loving money more than god. Isnt loving god is giving up self. The more of god you get into you the less of earthy things should satisfy you. So why would you need 9 million dollars to make you a happy preacher. For example: A chevy instead of a CADILLAC, a 4 bed room house, instead of 10 bed room house. a modest bank account, instead of millions. I hear preacher saying during their sermon, all my bills are paid, all my carsssss and homesssss are paid for. They dont have a job other than preaching the word of god. (GODs WORD--not the preacher word) So why reap all the benefits/money. Get freely-give freely. Why do we accept the fact that they deserve to have all that money and we the congregation deserves to be poor and god is only blessing him. I have a feeling that those preachers are going to be MOWING the lawns up in heaven. (you know how fresh and green EDEN was) Each preacher has their personal walk with god and have to answer for thier actions. I dont really know if it is right or wrong to keep all the proceeds. I know that since I have become closer to the lord, there are things that I thought was the world to me, I now know and feel that it is of no value at all. Keeping up with the joness ot thomass, or andersons or anyone else is futile.
