Ponraj Vellaichamy A symbol of dedicated service in Dharmapuri Indian Pillars and Uthavum uravugal I was happy to have an occassion to meet a sincere and dedicated personalities and youths led by an young 27 years old Vinoth IndianPillars. Dr Kalam used to ask the youth to spend some time with the patients, orphanage, and with the children who have special abilities to cheer them up. I could see in him an ignited mind as envisioned by Dr Kalam, who spends his time with 30 mothers at the old age home quite frequently. He took me their along with his Amma and the Indian Pillars team. It moved me to see the mothers and most of them are expressed happiness. I could see the sadness and emptiness in 3 mothers in their face. Probably they were neglected by their children that feelings would have hurt them. But over all they all showered blessings with a word வாழ்க வளமுடன். But the old age home was run by a passionate women Smt. Chandra Athimoolam inherited the trust from the dravidian background with social justice proponent women - a close relative of Shri. RMV, for the last 30 years. Hemelatha Foundation has built a big hall with facilities, I could see the passion in her eyes and happiness in serving the aged mothers. Vinoth and his team distributed 30 bed sheets for winter. I feel blessed to be with them. Next he took me to a school supported by Dharmapuri rotary club for DEAF and Dump students. What a love and affection these students have shown with their beautiful smile. Indian pillars Vinoth and his team distributed a writing kit to all 170 students. I was very happy see the children faces with smile and enthusiasm to listen, respond and able to compete with the regular school students except on English on exam and scoring very good marks. They are talking among themselves using their sign language and following the teachers instructions. What a surprise, the principal and teachers arranged a beautiful baratha natiyam by girls and modern dance by boy. They gave a spectacular performance with smiles. What a dedicated principal and teachers who brought meaningful life to these children who are differently abled. My kudos to the entire team. Indian pillars Vinoth had organised blood donation camps and donated to more than 40000 persons so far. He and his friends running 24/7 call centre to organise donors for blood and proving service not only in South India but also to all over the country. He also creating awareness for eye donation and body donation. Organised many eye donations and he himself got training to conduct eye donations. He inspires the people to donate the bodies of the deceased, to the Govt. Hospital and medical college students for their study overcoming all cultural and custom practices mindset, but the Govt Hospital authorities doesnt even bother to issue the body donation certificate to the diner family. A dedicated youth is doing the work of Govt authorities, but the other side shows lackadaisical attitude in acknowledging the donors. What a system we have? At least this will come to the notice of Health secretary Dr Radha krishnan and take action against those who not issued certificate, facilitate and encourage the people to donate deceased bodies for studies of the medical college students. A person who spends his entire earning for this societal cause to improve the livelihood of the common man Mr Vinoth launched Uthavum Uravugal initiative, which I inaugurated and facilitated him and his team on 5 Dec 2014. Let the mission of Vinoth and his team succeeds. Greetings and best wishes VPonraj Vellaichamy
