Pontiac video from 1991. The automotive press had a chance to get close to the 1992 Bonneville during the long lead press review held in June at Big Sky Montana and their initial impressions are mirroring what everybody at Pontiac has believed about this car all along. (note: for a great behind the scenes look at the Pontiac 1991 long lead press preview see album Under the Big Sky - https://facebook/media/set/?set=a.570544842970434.1073741828.136615233030066&type=3 ) (John McElroy – Automotive Industries Magazine) Overall I’m highly impressed with the Bonneville as I have been for the past few years, this just builds on the good reputation that the car has had and I think it will do even better in the marketplace than it has to date. (Mary Flowers-Boyce – Auto Age Magazine) I think it could compete with anything out there in the European or the Japanese sector. (Daniel Ross – Motor Trend) the Bonneville bumper to bumper inside and out I think is a remarkable step forward, we at Motor Trend and my colleagues in the other press have been impressed with the Bonneville since the previous generation and it was a good car then and it’s a better car now. (Paul Eisenstein – Detroit Bureau, Independent News Service) I personally right now would recommend that anybody who looks at an import at least looks at the SSE and the SSEi. (Phil Frame – Automotive News) I feel like it might draw more people toward the Bonneville because it’s an outreaching design that would tend to grab more people. (John Davis - Motorweek) they’re answering the questions of what people really need, the job that Pontiac has to do now is sell people on their products and make them understand the value they’re getting.
