Pookaramma Kamakshi: A woman devotee called Kamakshi used to sell flowers at the entrance of the Sri Kanchi madam for years together. She had the privilege of darsan even after the devotees left. Periyava gave special privilege of darsan to Pookari Kamkshi for her devotion to Periyava. She used to sell flowers at the entrance for less profit stating that everything she sells goes to Periyva only. She will give daily one basket of fruits for abhishegam to Periayva. Periyava told her not to waste flowers like this but she said that she gets immense joy (anandam) after this flower abhishegam to Periyava. Periyava used to tell that you will money by selling flowers but she continued to send daily basket full of flowers for abhishegam to Periyava. Nagarajan,kaingarium devotee was with Periyava.Nagarajan used to hear news from radio (as there were no facilities like these ) and will say daily about the happenings to Periyava. One day a woman devotee from Pudukottai came and gave velvette padukai to Periyava. Periyava was with Periyava from the afternoon till such time Nagarajan was with Periyava. Nagarajan was with Periyava and he had in mind that this velvetee padukai must be got from Periyava or if he leaves the paduka , he must take it and place it for puja in his residence. We will see what happens to paduka on 03 08 13. After some time, Nagarajan waited for Periyava to remove the paduka. But Periyava did not remove the paduka and Periyava used the velvetted paduka throughout the evening hours. At that time Pookaramma Kamakshi after selling the flowers came for darsan of Periyava. On seeing pookarama Kamakshi, Periyava gave the velvetted paduka to pookaraamma Kamakshi and asked her to take it home. After getting the paduka, pookarama was very much happy and with joyful tears, she took her home. But for the kaningariya devotee Nagarajan was witnessing the incident. He felt himself that we will get , we will get it from the bagawan. Some devotees after hearing that the pookarama Kamakshi approached her to give the paduka and they were ready to give in lakhs and lakhs. Such was the devotion of the devotees and pookarama Kamakshi , pookarama Kamakshi refused saying that she won’t give paudka to any devotee ,even if they preferred giving in crores. Such was the devotion of pookarama Kamakshi. For pookarama Kamakshi household functions. Sri Matam used to send some offerings . Pookarama Kamakshi used to give a basket of flowers daily even after Periyava shed his mortal coil. When Periyava was there in physical form, Periyava used to give some flowers,cashew,fruits etc. as prasadam in her basket. After 1994,none was there to give prasadam to pookaramma. She used to feel it daily. One day when she was praying to Periyava thirumeni thinking about not getting prasadam after giving flowers to Periyava, at that time one Sembarutha flower came and fell in the basket of pookarama Kamakshi. Periyava answered to her prayers immediately even Periyava was not there in physical form. Thus Periyava answered her poor devotee pookarama Kamakshi. Tomorrow about a devotee of Thenbakkam.
