Poor little Angel Mia the chihuahua was only 5 months old and weighed about 2kg when she came to us with a fractured radius and ulna- these can be very difficult to fix especially in a tiny patient like Mia- here she is waiting for her surgery with a support bandage on, our surgeons put a special compression plate on - as you can see in the before and after X-rays. Several weeks later she is pictured with one of our nurses when she had her repeat X-rays done- her bones are healing well but Angel Mia still needs to take it easy!
