Poorer people generally have poorer health. But a study by The Lancet found that people who are exposed to green space have lower levels of illness and disease than others with similar income. Physical environments that promote good health may reduce socioeconomic health inequalities. Join us for our Garden Day 9 a.m. to noon May 10. The garden is used as an educational tool as well as supplier of nutritious food for our summer youth program. Donations of mulch, soil, plants and seeds also are needed.
