Pope Francis arrived to a sea of pilgrims on the early night of January 15. Five days of blessedness with the Holy Pontiff along with him he brought Mercy and Compassion. People lined up the streets of Manila and Tacloban to take a glimpse of our Pope under the heat of the sun as well as the rythym of the pouring rains. Today, the Pope has gone to go back to his place and hopefully left us all the essence of his pontifical messages. At this juncture, let me enjoin each and everyone not to lose sight of the men and women who braved the rains and heat of the sun, spent sleepness nights and restless days with their own little ways to ensure security and safety of our Very Important Visitor and overwhelming success of this very rare event that we, Filipinos, are very fortunate to have. Congratulations to the men and women of the PNP, soldiers of the AFP, traffic enforcers, street sweepers and garbage collectors of MMDA, volunteer groups and other individuals who in one way or another contributed to the success of this event. Most of all, to the thousand members of the Grand Choir at Quirino Grandstand - you have brought the Heaven here on Earth with your mesmerizing voices. To the Filipino People, we have shown again to the world how united we can be. Kudos and Congratulations Everyone !
