Pope Francis visit paved the way for us to reexamine our conscience and recover our moral moorings. His buzzwords - integrity and inclusivity - resonate because it is these moral underpinnings that effectively serve as the antidotes to poverty, injustice, inequaity and corruption. Put another way, sustained good performance in government and society stems from being matino (doing the right things) AND being mahusay (doing things the right way). It cant be either one or the other; it has to be BOTH for best results. Each one of us has the power to break away and shift gears from bad to good behavior. Those have to be our basic foundations if we are to make things right; lift the nations gross national wellbeing higher and higher, and fight for a better Philippines to ensure the future of successor generations with no one left behind. I express those thoughts as an exasperated citizen who to this day is waiting the so-called potentials of the country to come to full bloom. So, lets take our country back from where the sun never shines and move it forward to where the sun never sets.
