Popes Ambassador to speak at St. Johns Archbishop Bert Van Megen, Apostolic Nuncio (Papal Ambassador) to Sudan, will speak on Pope Francis and his ambassadors, Vatican diplomacy, Pope Francis’ recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land, the Church and his role in Sudan. This rare event will take place Wednesday June 18, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans. All are welcome. After special training in Rome, the archbishop joined the diplomatic service of the Holy See and has served in Sudan, Brazil, Slovakia, Israel, United Nations (Switzerland) and Malawi.
