Juniper Blyth this ones for you! 1 and 1/2 cups white sugar 1 cup butter/margarine 1/2 cup corn syrup Boil the above to the soft ball stage. Critical to have a candy thermometer! When it gets to the right temperature, take off heat and add: 1/2 tsp cream of tartar 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla Pour over: 8-10 cups popped popcorn (4L ice cream pail level) 2 cups mixed nuts (or peanuts) Lay out on cookie sheet and break up when cooled
