Port Inspector Rumaila Responsibilities and Role Synopsis: The Iraq Region has an aggressive development plan to increase production in the Rumaila Oil Field from 1.25 mbpd to 1.85 and then 2.85 mbpd during the next five years, which will develop it into the worlds 3rd largest Oil Field. The current plan is to support this growth utilizing over 200 PSCM staff from BP as well as its JV partners: Petro China and SOC (the Iraqi South Oil Company). The logistics team is responsible for all logistics arrangements for the Rumaila Oilfield, and its ability to work with the Port Authorities and State Inspection Agencies operating at the ports in Basra is key for the success of the project. Position Requirements: • Accountable for daily communication between ROO HQ based Logistics Team, Port Authority Staff, State Inspection Agencies and SOC Customs Clearance Teams • Assist’s in expediting the Customs Clearing process for goods at Umm Qusr Port facility • Will assist the Logistics Team in ensuring the timely clearance and inspection of goods through the Port and their onward passage to the field Skills The candidates must be : • Iraqi nationally and based in Basra. • Strong working knowledge of MS Office products i.e. PowerPoint, Access & Excel. • Experience in managing supplier relationships. • An understanding of HSE requirement in a busy Port environment • Experience of working in the Port would be advantageous • Willing to work with multiple parties and communicate with them • Willing to work outside in the Port Area • Attention to detail for document review • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages Preferably: Graduate: BSc/BA in Engineering, Operations Management, Quantity Surveying, Economics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent • Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry experience • Sourcing & tendering experience, including use of e-sourcing tools • Being able to work under pressure and stringent time constraints. • Team player as well you can apply through this link :
