Port of Davao, Tuesday, September 30, 5:17 AM The morning has begun early here with more to do than can possibly be done...am wishing for 25 hours today! And, by the way, this is the last day of September 2014 and with it, another month has passed and a new month looms largely on the radar, waiting to be embraced with all the faith, wit and wisdom that can be mustered. Aye and it will be a month of excitement and hard work here about these waters! I wrote the other night about asking The Lord for big stuff and thats what Id like to relate to you now. And you my ask of the end of our vision for gospel ministry here, but I will just tell you, there is no end in sight! Ive often said that with age, my eyesight is not what it was, but my vision is far better than ever...and the two arent the same, you know. A man can see clearly but still have no vision. Perception is more than physical. So what is the big thing now? I am praying to be able to purchase an FM radio station with its transmitter situated in Don Marcelino, south from Davao, along the coast and in the very heart of our cruising grounds. REMOTE ISLAND MINISTRIES RADIO would reach an entire region, broadcasting the gospel throughout and the fact of our ownership of the frequency would give us absolute control of our broadcasts. Now, heres the thing---we must purchase this franchise by the end of October. The cost is $42k. I said in that recent post, that Im asking The Lord for some big stuff right now...this is one of those things. A projected budget of $50k is needed and I believe it can be reached. One half that amount would get us well underway and give the following two months for raising the additional. Please consider this next step forward in the work here. It has long been our desire to saturate these islands with the Word of God. This is another way of getting the job done! Questions? Ask me... God bless you all. I am praying for you!
