He asked me to post these and I felt it would be good, since it is summer and so many of our kids are out on bikes. He wasnt wearing a helmet but the highest his injuries got was on the side of his back. His mother and her live-in boyfriend are both nurses so he has been thoroughly checked out. He was estimated to be traveling over 30 MPH and didnt make the turn. His bike hit a center divider to his neighborhood, he flew across it and over to the other side. He says that while he was in mid disaster, he had the presence of mind to keep his head away from the cement. That was purely luck because at certain angles of landing, he would have had no choice. Show this to your tough kids who refuse to wear a helmet and let them know that any one of these injuries could have been his head. I am thankful to have my boy alive and until I typed that, my eyes were dry. Please be safe when on the road and even though a vehicle was not involved in any way, this shows how vulnerable the human body is.
