Position Details Client: CHOP Position: Payment Posting Specialist Duration: 6 months Contract Location: Malvern, PA Description: Responsible for completing the processing of work assigned by Lead. Post all payments accurately to each patient account. Balance each payment batch assigned and posted. Maintain or exceed daily production standard of 550. Process refunds in accordance with the refund policy. Payment Posting (paper explanation of benefits). Ensure all paper payments, contractual adjustments and rejections received are posted into the IDX billing system. All payments, contractual adjustments, and rejections assigned are completed within two working days of receipt with a 98% accuracy rate. Must notify Lead of any problems within one (1) working day 100% of the time. Payment Posting (electronic remits). Ensure all electronic payment remits i.e. Aetna, Highmark to include Personal Choice & Blue Shield, or any future electronic pay remit postings are completed and reconciled correctly one (1) working day of receipt. Inform Lead of any problems/discrepancies within one (1) working day 100% of the time. Ensure that all electronic rejections (“no postings”) are resolved in each assigned batch. Work with management to ensure the implementation of additional electronic remits. Participates in testing and provides sound feedback to management. Ensure Overpayments/Refunds are completed timely All refunds/overpayments must be investigated and processed immediately when possible at payment batch close. If proper back up is needed, refunds are to be completed within two days. When refunds are completed ensure all refunds are distributed to the appropriate Managers for signature approval immediately. Utilize Paperless Collection systems Ensure that all notes are entered in the Paperless Collection System when processing and completing refunds (RD) and link appropriate invoices. Identify and communicate trends in payment discrepancies and credit balance accounts.
