Position: Project Manager (Health Sector) Location: Toronto Contract: 16 Months Experience Covering: Strong competence working within a large project team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, within scope, with benefits identified, minimal business interruption, with timely resolution of project issues, and to the satisfaction of the client. Demonstrated collaboration skills, with extensive experience in end-to-end project and system development life-cycle. Ability to gather and develop requirements for developing project charters, creating and managing integrated project plans Identifying and acquiring a mix of skilled technical resources necessary to complete project assignments/deliverables; including clarify roles and responsibilities and set task/deliverable/performance expectations for resources that are both OPS unionized employees as well as fee for service (FFS) consultants Strong discipline in resolving resourcing and inter-personal conflicts, ensures knowledge is shared among team members to achieve project objectives. Effectively manages large project budgets and ensures a high level of fiscal control and accountability including estimates, forecasts and reconciliation/confirmation of actuals. Proactively identifying potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed. Articulating and prioritizing issues and risks at senior executive levels and recommending mitigation strategies for decision makers. Establish and facilitate steering committee and stakeholder forums; regular presentation of status at MOHLTC and Inter-ministerial Steering Committee meetings Demonstrated ability to act independently and make decisions that achieve optimal results with minimal supervision. Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to communicate across many functional areas to actively engage project stakeholders and manage client expectations with diverse interests, technical and non-technical backgrounds Identify and evaluate specific issues or risks, provide options analysis, and recommend action plans to mitigate the risk and manage the issue to a satisfactory conclusion. Written communication skills to prepare authoritative recommendations, proposals and reports; such as Briefing Notes A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Project management experience at the relevant level expected In-depth knowledge of industry standard such as Project Management Institute (PMI) and OPS I&IT project management methodologies. Extensive experience in Project Management methodologies, and the documentation, collaterals, and artifacts that need to be produced throughout the lifecycle of the project and software development. Demonstrated IT project management experience managing all phases (concept, definition, planning, implementation, and closeout) of large scale, complex IT projects . Prepare and distribute project updates and progress reports to project stakeholders to manage expectations pertaining to scope and timeline constraints; using either a Project Management toolset, including MS Project, Clarity/Planview or equivalents for standard status reporting Knowledge and understanding of Ministry policy and IT project approval processes and requirements. Other Required Skills: Experience with the land ambulance sector and its stakeholders Experience managing projects related to 24×7 Critical environments and operations Experience in a Public Safety environment, or with Public Safety industry technologies and vendors Experience and understanding of Telecommunication technology (current and emerging technologies), including public safety radio network, conventional radio system, E-911 Telephony, Paging technology, and Computer Telephone Integration ; Experience working in the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, or with the Ontario Government Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Content Management Knowledge of Inspection and Compliance Monitoring Systems Follow us on Facebook,Twitter & LinkedIn
