Position: Proposal Coordinator / Sales Support Technical Writer – Spanish Bilingual Location: Orlando, FL Status: Contract to Perm Salary: Negotiable dependent on candidate Benefits: Full benefits, PTO, 401k, etc. Start Date: ASAP System One is working with an established gas turbine controls engineering and service provider in the Orlando area in finding a qualified and well experienced Technical Writer with proposal and contract experience for the engineering office, specifically in Spanish and English. We are looking for serious, direct hire focused candidates that want to forge a career in one of the largest worldwide industries and a growing brand. The right candidate will be responsible for: • Translation of highly technical bid specifications from Spanish to English. • Working with the engineering and sales departments to generate both formal and informal proposals and communications. • Act as translator for sales and technical discussions. • Provides translation service for marketing documentation. • Acts as backup to sales for customer communications and negotiations. • Must ensure documents meet companys high standards for accuracy, clarity, tone and style while adhering to aggressive timelines without constant supervision. Required Skills • Degree in Engineering / Sciences / Liberal Arts or applicable industrial / engineering technical writing experience. • Fluent Spanish skills both written and verbal • Strong writing and analytical skills. • Excellent in dealing and communicating with people and understanding their needs. • Must be able to take ideas and translate them into proposals / sales communications. • Excellent technical skills - ability to work with multiple subject matter experts and maintain diplomacy. • Experience working in an engineering environment • Technical writing skills – ability to work with procedures, guidelines, etc. • Comfortable with Microsoft Office product line. • Detail oriented. • Needs to be self-motivated and good with time-management. Desired Skills • 3+ years’ experience in technical / proposal writing preferably in oil & gas industry. • In addition, knowledge of rotating equipment packages for the oil & gas and power generation industries is a plus. Equipment includes: gas-turbine packages, turbo-compressors, generators, gearboxes, pumps, electric motors.
