Position: Quality Improvement Officer Location: Mpumalanga- Nelspruit Office Reporting to: Programme Manager Qualifications and Experience: • Matric (Grade 12) • Quality Assurance Qualification • Health Management Certificate • 2 years’ experience in quality assurance programme • 2 years’ experience working for NGOs “Bowie” Required competencies and Skills: • Good knowledge of health systems • Computer literacy • Ability to take initiative and work independently • Self-starter and analytical thinker • Plan and monitor activity flow and outcomes • Monitoring and Evaluation skills • Capacity to work under pressure • Professional knowledge and skills • Decision-maker Duties include: Programme support: • Provide support to Clinical technical officers to ensure accurate documentation and reporting on all quality improvement projects • Support the Programme Manager in responding to issues related to quality improvement initiatives • Lead the procession, administration and turnaround time of reporting on all quality improvement initiatives • Design improvement and reporting tools that relate to technical assistance • Ensure that all reporting tools from each project are in line with set standards to maintain quality assurance • Provide support to HMIP priority initiatives • Attend networking meetings and provide feedback for the PPM • Be able to analyse all reports for quality and decision making Administration: • Ensure all QI reports are submitted on time, collate Provincial report and submit to the Programme Manager • Review reporting tools regular to meet upcoming changes • Execute any other duty that may rise or delegated by the PPM Research: • Keep abreast with present developments in the field • To participate in research projects relevant to the programmes Quality improvement: • Coordinate rollout of national core standards assessments and ideal clinic status determination • Partner with DOH QA coordinator to execute improvement projects, for example, satisfaction surveys, waiting time studies, etc. • Design Quality Assessment tools for all programmes • Monitoring and evaluation of all quality improvement projects for the implementation of the organisational strategies • Apply principles of project management to ensure timely delivery QI initiative outcomes • Assist facilities in the application of lean principles for the QI Training and Coaching: • Develop QI training materials • Conduct training and build the capacity of clinical technical officers to execute QI initiatives • Coach facility improvement committees on quality improvement processes, including systems approaches for problem solving Interested applicants must submit their CV, certified copies of their ID and Qualifications and Letter of motivation by: Emailing: [email protected] Faxing: 086 627 6652 Should you not receive a response to your application from Right to Care within one month of this advert being placed, kindly consider your application as being unsuccessful, we nonetheless want to thank you for your interest shown in our organisation.
