Position Title: Employer: Teacher Kings Academy Description: Open Positions: 7th grade Teacher Teacher Job Description •Provide each student with a quality instructional program •Implement the district and local school curriculum, teaching and learning goals •Prepare and maintain quality lesson plans and current seating charts •Maintain attractive classroom/corridor displays, including annual foyer responsibilities •Has high expectations of all students •Maintain effective classroom management •Utilize effective instructional techniques •Participate in team planning •Serve on school and district decision making and implementation committees •Regularly inform parents regarding student progress and the instructional program •Communicate with parents of child declining in academics and/or behavior immediately at the time decline occurs •Provide parents with classroom expectations including course objective, grading procedures, academic expectations, and behavioral expectations within the first two weeks of the school year •Maintain folders with examples of student work (portfolio). •Participate in collaborative meetings •Participate in professional development and staff meetings •Accurately complete report cards/progress reports •Enter grades in grade book regularly •Have high expectations of all students •Participate in team planning •Provide special help for students with special needs per IEP.
