Positioning problem of Tata Nano: What is Tata Nano in the mind of the customer? A family car? People’s car? Poor man’s car? Tier 2 city car? The most fuel efficient car? Or, the current positioning: Tier 1 city car for “Baba log”! So, what’s the positioning problem of Tata Nano? Too-many-solutions car :-( What should it be? It seems Tata Nano’s marketing team is not sure what problem is solved by it for its customers. It’s time they go out ask them directly. Or can you help Tata Nano’s marketing team with a positioning statement?
