Positive & not so positive news from hospital yesterday. Positive: all blood tests in normal range anaemia improving wound 97% healed. Not so: remain on iv antibiotics at least one more month bone not healing well - possible crumbling of top of humerus due to osteoporosis - may need metal plate removed this year and partial shoulder replacement done something consultant had hoped to wait to perform until I was in my 50s. Still using wheelchair unlikely to manage stairs for some weeks yet. Have started at looking to buy bungalow asap!
