Possible Wintry Mix Friday evening and Saturday morning... Hmmmm!!! I dont like the cold but I dont mind a snow day if its a work day...Lol! Forecast form KXXV and photos from KCEN! Que Pasa Killeen - Central Texas STRONG COLD FRONT WEDNESDAY POSSIBLE WINTRY WEATHER LATE THIS WEEK It will be another cold night across Central Texas as lows fall into the 20s and 30s. We will see a brief warm up Tuesday as light west winds return. Highs will be in the 50s...enjoy...because it wont last! A strong cold front will dive into Central Texas Wednesday. Highs will likely get into the 40s before we start a steady fall in the afternoon hours with a gusty north wind. As the wind dies down under mostly clear skies Thursday morning, temperatures will plummet into the teens and 20s. We will recover a bit Thursday afternoon with highs near 40°. The forecast gets very complicated Friday into the weekend. Another surge of cold air is likely, but will we have enough moisture for precipitation? The models have trended a bit wetter today, so we have added a low chance of a wintry mix Friday afternoon and Saturday. The details of this will not be resolved until later this week as more models begin to pick up on this event. It is something to watch...and we will be tracking it for you!
