Possible double shooting investigated in North Port NORTH PORT — North Port police are investigating a possible double shooting this morning at 2447 Florida Terrace. City police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday at the address. En route to the scene, Assistant Police Chief Tony Sirianni said, officers were informed of possible gunshots. According to early reports, there was an alleged break-in at the house, with the intruder shooting a resident and then himself. Neighbors said they saw officials remove two bodies from the home, but police would not confirm injuries or deaths. By 10:30 a.m., police had Florida Terrace and Opa Locka Lane blocked from traffic, and Sirianni said once crime scene detectives have gathered evidence, there will be more information released later this afternoon. Police were conducting witness interviews at the NPPD. No arrests have been made as of this afternoon. Sarasota County Property Appraiser records show the home is owned by Heidi DeCarlo, 43, and Bush Bena. According to their Facebook pages, DeCarolo and Bena are both from Massachusetts, and Bena is originally from Albania.
