Post 25: Praying At The Mailbox Less Than Perfect I grew up on a farm. According to the worlds standards, we were probably poor; but in a poor, rural community, we were probably some of the wealthy ones. As farm life goes, there are good years and bad years, financially. On many occasions, my mom would start the day by stopping at the end of our long, gravel driveway. We would sit in the van, and she would pray. Sometimes it was for good crops; sometimes it was for the chickens to do well; sometimes it was for Bertha Browns knees (a lady up the road) to feel better; but my favorite was when she prayed for our lunch money for that week. Sure enough, one of the four of us would get birthday money in the mail, and that money would buy lunches at school for the week. Coincidence? I dont think so. I am SURE, I KNOW, that I dont stop and pray at the mailbox enough. Matthew 21: 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
