Post-Apocalypto -- Americanist Week in Brussels (Oct 28-Nov 2 2013) During one week this autumn, the Université Libre de Bruxelles welcomes researchers from around the world to gather around the topic of the crises experienced by the ancient civilisations of the American continent. On the agenda are the Mayas, the Incas, the Aztecs, and many others, as well as workshops regarding the decipherment of Maya writing, all under the direction of international specialists. The Americanist week will take place from Monday the 28th of October until Saturday the 2nd of November 2013, and is organised with the support of the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature (ULB), the Fonds National de Recherche Scientifique (Belgium), the Wayeb-European Association of Mayanists, and the Société des Américanistes de Belgique. saulb.ulb.ac.be/en/ Post-Apocalypto -- Semana americanista en Bruselas Este otoño, la Université Libre de Bruxelles recibirá durante una semana a investigadores de todas partes del mundo, para discutir sobre el tema de las crisis que han conocido las civilizaciones antiguas del continente americano. Las culturas de las cuales se van a tratar son : Maya, Inca, Azteca, en otras. También tendremos talleres para descifrar la escritura maya, bajo la dirección de especialistas internacionales.
