Post I just put up referenced number of hours below 45 degrees as measured at College Station. Dr. McEachern says they have had 835 hours so far. Several Comments didnt understand the significance of those hours. Thats the chilling hours so critical to fruit production. Our trees have had plenty! Its only bad news if we get a warm spell/bud and bloom, followed by subsequent hard freeze. Sorry if I confused you. I had discussed chilling hours in a Garden Tip here recently, but not everyone sees all of my posts. Hope this helps clear it up.
