‘Post Office comes forward to help ‘floods-hit’ Uttarakhand’ There have been recent floods and landslides in the State of Uttarkhand that have led to massive damage to the life and property and have rendered many people without a shelter. With a view to help the people of Uttarakhand overcome the miseries, Postal staff of J&K hase come forward in a big way under ‘Sahayata Initiative’. Relief material such as clothes, blankets, woolens, utensils, edible items, medicines is being sent by people across the country. Chief Post Master General, J&K Circle Shri John Samuel said that the Postal Staff in J&K have contributed Rs. 3,30,000 towards this noble cause. Shri Samuel appreciated the postal staff for this good gesture. This generous contribution contribution of the post office staff will be used to help the people who have been affected by the floods in Uttarakhand. The Postal department is playing its part to help those in need at Uttarkhand...........................
