Post Op - Day 3. After a less than perfect morning....lots of IV and other tube changes, linens changed, IVs springing leaks, etc - Sister continues to amaze. She made three laps around 7 NE today and is getting more steady on her feet all the time. The incision big and impressive continues to look good and she is a trooper with doing her exercises. Please pray specifically for her hematocrit number to continue to improve, pain management as the days of the epidural are coming to an end and those bowels to start to wake up - though there was some small signs of activity in that area today. She really wants a milkshake and cant go there until there is real action. Visitors still limited to immediate family and while she loves flowers and cards - the flowers need to wait until she is home as they are not allowed on the floor. Feel free to private message me if there are other questions you have...and I will try and answer. My guess uneducated though it is ...is that she still has a few more days at UWMC.
