Post Op Day 3 : Tony is such a trooper! The Pain Mgmt Team wanted to due a trial of suspending the epidural for 2 hrs, he still has 2 IV pain meds to cover him with the PCA that will be increased if needed. Well he went 4 hrs without the epidural, that rather than leave in for a possible risk of infection , they removed it and the foley urine cath....Hes been sitting up,playing with legos, watching Indiana Jones and like when a baby ,sleeping to Pandora Disney Music and the biggest news...he sat in the chair earlier today for 10 minutes...He wants to get up and walk a bit! He has his mothers drive and willpower.. So were taking baby steps : slow and steady will win the race....Still nothing by mouth, waiting for some ostomy output in his ostomy bag before any definite plans of discharge, so it will be time and patience but everyday is getting better than before....We feel your love,support,,compassion and prayers....Much love to you all!
