Post Tan Care These hints should help to keep your tan looking great until your body naturally sheds its skin (which is usually 5-7 days) • Try not to wear any tight fitting clothes which may rub the tan – such as socks, boots, bra’s etc. • Do not carry out any excessive exercise as the tan is developing (8 -10 hours) as this will affect the finished result. • Try not to get any water on yourself during the developing time – this is a good excuse not to wash up! • Avoid rubbing or scratching yourself as this will transfer tan onto your palms. • If possible, avoid wearing make-up during development time. • Do not rub any other tanning products onto your skin during development – this can cause the spray tan to turn green. • Leave the tan on for at least 8 - 10 hours then shower off using a gentle body wash. Do not scrub at the skin as this will cause fading. Rinse until the water runs clear. • Try not to soak in the bath or go swimming as this can fade the tan prematurely. Chlorine can cause the tan to fade. • Don’t have your shower or bath water too hot as this can decrease the length of your tan. • After bathing don’t rub the skin too harshly, simply pat dry with your towel. • Moisturise daily to enhance and prolong your tan. • Wherever possible try to use oil-free products as oil can strip the tan. • Please note - Your hands and face will fade sooner than the rest of your body as these areas are washed more often.
